The cultural and social world of Australian native peoples is
one of the most ancient and complex system of our planet.
The native cultural origin of southern continent goes back
to more than 40.000 years b.C., accordingly to recent
archaeological studies.
It is a complex cultural system that by its nature gets
continuously stronger and renewed in ritual and cerimonial
expressions including chorus and music.
Dreamtime (dreaming), main basis and motor of all native
onto-cosmologic system, is daily told, lived over again and
tried. This culture is continuously evolving, entirely far
from death thought or the crystallization that a certain
Occidental part wants to ascribe it.
A culture that had first to bear repression and then
assimilation imposed by a cruel anglo-european
colonization which stole its most precious and basic
treasure: their earth.
Many of these wounds still exist today and the fight for human and social rights of native peoples
is a first interest topic in Australian political diary. (Alberto Furlan)
