The Yidaki Cultural Association has just turn his first year. 12 intense
months full of activities, these activities took us a lot time and at the
same time they gave great satisfactions receiving attention from the people
that it is increasing. We are more than 90 members at present (15 Nov 2005). The members are expecially from north Italy but also in centre and south Italy, on the island and few in Swiss. To gave a look on the map of our members: http://yidaki.interfree.it/mappa.html Our web site was born few months ago: http://yidaki.didgeridoo.it, Ilario Vannucchi as web master made it possible. On it you can find information about our activities, who we are, project etc. Two project already concluded: - publishing of "Compilation.Didgerido.IT" in cooperation of other musician/organizers. Some of the best Italian player took part on it. More details on: http://compilation.didgeridoo.it - publishing of "Tribal Revolution" CD made by Riccio & Andrea Ferroni. The archive of CD, DVD e VHS is a new proposal for our members. It is possible to have a look to all the stuff on: http://yidaki.interfree.it/archivio.html Anyone can consult it in the association seat or, on request, in the "Scuola del Didjeridoo". The loan of the stuff is not forthcoming and obviously to copy the CDs or book even if in part is not admitted. The consultation is free. The people they live far from our seat can ask us a cheap place where to sleep, we suggest to move in occasion of parties, festival, workshop, holiday or other events to make your travel more profitable. The purpose of the archive is to make the stuff available to the interested people they want to understand the possibilities of the didje in the contemporary music... or maybe to look through the improvement so fast of this young (in Europe) instrument. If someone would be interested, can ask to us (if the contact is not available on the cover) the contact of the artists or of the CD producer to buy it. Two next project will be: - publishing of a new INTERNATIONAL didjeridoo compilation, the regulation is available on: http://yidaki.interfree.it/2007.html - publishing of a didjeridoo method. The main arguments will be: history, culture and tradition of the aboriginal people (written by the anthropologist dott. Alberto Furlan), how to build, research about sound (dynamic and harmonic overtones), all the most important techniques to play the didje and a list of player they contribute to change the didjeridoo world scene.
